Day 1: Give It 100

"Instead of raising children who turn out okay despite their childhood, lets raise children who turn out extraordinary because of their childhood." L. R. Knost

I have been inspired.

I saw a couple videos on YouTube, where a man and woman learn how to dance in 365 days.

Now I am a pretty terrible dancer, and while I would love to learn how to dance, or many other things, I am really hoping to improve as a blogger and photographer. I've been constantly stunned by moms who photograph their kids, teachers who photograph their classrooms, and demonstrate the wonderful ways of teaching children naturally and offering them the best childhood possible. I so want that. I want that for my kids, and I want that for my kids' friends - heck I want it for all children. I want them to know that they're loved. I want them to have relationships - good ones - with the adults in their life. I hope they feel protected and safe. I hope they are fed healthy (and yummy) foods. I hope they play, run, jump, climb, get dirty, build, create. Every day. And not just in a playground. I want them to learn, and grow, and seek and explore their world without the threat of harm or people telling them no, or that their questions are dumb. I want them to look up at the sky and wonder, and experience God in the most innocent and purest of ways.

I hope I can inspire moms and teachers to do so, as I start my journey of learning to blog. I do want this to be manageable, and not go over my head on this. So some days, my blogs might suck. They might be short. The photos may just be shot with my cell phone in awful lighting. But if I stick with it, I hope I can grow from it. Even if I finish this not much further than where I started, I can say I put forth a good effort. So here. Day 1 of my 100 days of photo blogging. Enjoy these photos I took during our program's field trip to the park. I don't have a backyard for the kids to play in at my home preschool, and I think being outdoors is so important. This field trip did us all much good!

Update: As luck would have it, I had major technical issues with the Blogger website, as well as my computer. So, an hour later, here's my blog! I know my 100 days will have it's trials, and I agree to myself to keep it as simple as it has to be to deliver even the tiniest bit of content each day. We'll see how it goes!
