FOCUSED FORWARD
Focused forward
On what is to come
I can't lose sight of the goal.
My hopes. My dreams.
In droves they come,
And seek to take control.
Pressing onward
Careful footing
Hoping not to fall
Often fearful
Sometimes tearful
By the weight of it all
Darkness comes
Vision's gone
I stumble forward slow
Take my hand
And lead the way
